Climate Gambit chess tournament was conceived by Kitelab science communication company and was first inaugurated in Armenia in 2023. The tournament was held under the auspices of the Armenian National Commission of UNESCO and in partnership with United Nations Armenia, Yerevan Botanical Garden, International Chess Federation (FIDE), Armenian Chess Academy, Armenian Chess Federation.
